Overview

This is sample copy. Code4Kids’s Kindergarten Computer Science (CS) curriculum gently introduces young learners to the wonders of CS as a playful, imaginative, and collaborative adventure.The Red Level curriculum serves as an early entry point for Kindergarten students to begin exploring the big ideas of computer science in age-appropriate ways.Across 4 units and 12–20 lessons, children discover concepts like sequencing, pattern recognition, and problem-solving through hands-on activities, storytelling, and engaging digital tools. They’ll also start developing essential computational thinking skills—learning to ask questions, test ideas, and create simple solutions with joy and curiosity.Each lesson is designed for a 30 to 45-minute period, ideally once a week, to nurture confidence and a sense of wonder in every little coder.
